I do really well in this business because I like to be honest. I don't have it in me to lie. It's just too much work! One of the things I tell anyone and everyone that purchases a Prada or Miu Miu bag from me is they are just not ENGINEERED to be work horses. I remember telling one lady that if you have kids and want ot use it as a bag that you can carry everything you own in, forget it. The bag will break. Now, I have written this many times but this is not just the case for the replicas. The real Pradas and the real Miu Mius are not meant for strenuous work.
If you look closely to loops and clasps on these bags, you will see thin pieces of fabric or the thinnest pieces of metal holding the strap to the bag. Clearly, a bag that is made like this is not going to hold your laptop, your running shoes, your yoga pants, your 4000 keys, your wallet, your sunglasses, your book to read on the train, your sweater, your hairpin, your kid's cherished Iron Man doll [that is now in your purse because he smacked his brother], etc. I just described HALF of what is in my purse.
Add to that smorgasbord of property in my purse, my own unique ability to be MONSTROUS with my bags, and well, a Miu Miu handbag or Prada handbag will just scream if it sees me. I'm like the handbag anti Christ, especially for these two brands.
Prada and Miu Miu handbags are for those times that looking good outweighs being practical. I vaguely remember those times and call them that BC era of my life - BEFORE CHILDREN. Where looking good and hot were a priority, not making sure the kids have uniforms for school and gee, the windows are looking kinda murky lately.
Prada and Miu Miu handbags celebrate youth, hotness and being carefree. I think that is why they remain one of my favourite bags despite not being able to be my everyday bag. I like the incredibly sexiness that, even a tired mom of two boys, exudes while holding one of these awesome bags.
For the most part, they are made well. There are a few designs that I steer clear from and don't offer on my website. I do find that hardware and straps are STURDILY connected to the bags, but again, I found the same to be true or the real bags themselves.
