It has been an amazing promotion and I cannot even begin to count how many free bags have gone out. I do know that I have a bunch of new countries added to my shipping roster, like Brunei and Kuwait! All in all this promotion has been great. No volcanoes. No new year celebrations. Fingers crossed for more good karma this way.

I saw these bags about a month ago as part of my regular sampling. I have to tell you that the handle on these bags is SO COMFORTABLE. It makes the bag. Inside is nice and roomy.
This bag is an addition to the Cocoon bags that were introduced last year. Word is that even die hard Chanel fans were not crazy about them. I also heard that choosing Lily Allen for the campaign didn't help matters (most people don't know who she is). So the new bags have been made with the signature smooth leather (instead of the lambskin that the 2010 models were crafted with).
Truth? Having seen both bags, I like this one better. The uber puffy ones just didn't do it for me. If you're not 6ft tall (I'm not) and if you're not slender like a rose (I'm not) then the puffy bag just makes you look puffier! Right. I'm sure all of us non run way models want that look. Please sign me up.
This bag with a heavier leather seems to just "hang" better and look better.
This is my next bag for sure.
I am big on a bag that can hold my life but I need that same bag to have a good top closure. FOR YEARS, Chanel has been making a lot of their bags with a magnetic closure on top. It creates a lot of worry for a lot of people. Firstly, if you're carrying a real Chanel, and you didn't mortgage your house to get it, chances are there is some good coin in your wallet (no top closure makes it a hey day for pick pockets).
I have friends who REFUSE to carry their wallets in a bag that does not zip up on top, which is sad since you're not carrying your vitals in your pocket! Kinda defeats having a handbag.
