Geez, I hope I can keep up with this!
I love costume jewelry. When I was about 25 or so I was held up, at knife point no less, and all the thug wanted were my rings and matching earrings. I learned at that age that having expensive jewelry and everyday tasks, LIKE WALKING ON THE ROAD, don't mix. Since then I've had kids and only after an expensive watch was flushed down the toilet - for giggles - did I realize expensive jewelry and kids don't mix either.
I keep the expensive stuff for VERY SPECIAL OCCASIONS which kinda makes it obsolete. I mean how many weddings, communions or XMAS parties do we really go to where we can be decked out like Liberace?
I love wearing the everyday stuff. It makes or completes an outfit. And if you're like me and lose earrings at the drop of a hat, then spending $30.00 on earrings doesn't hurt like spending $3000.00!
This costume jewelry, however, is not cheap. It's real 0.925 silver or real gold, made to replicate the original designer pieces.
