Mulberry Satchel

I'm not British and so I don't have the appreciation for Mulberry like I should.  It's a very underrated brand in North America, in my opinion.  I think they make the most breathtaking handbags and yet most people have never heard of the brand.  As a funny aside, I had a reader of this blog chastise me for calling "Burberry" Mulberry.  I had to tell her that Mulberry was a separate brand altogether.  She still kinda doubted me!

The replica bags for Mulberry are equally awesome.  The leather is very, very good and the hardware is weighty and a good match to the original bags.  I was in London last summer and I remember seeing HORDES of people carrying Mulberry.  Mulberry in the UK is like Coach in North America!  Everyone has one.  EVERYONE. I can see why the UKers don't get all excited about it but it is a very classic brand with a sophistication that is suited for the boardroom.

Folks, this is really what LV is all about.  A solid leather bag, in three of the most popular styles that they offer.  A sexy bag that is good for both office and out with friends.  As far as replicas go, it's a very good one and made with very good leather.  The styling is beautiful and the gold hardware goes so nicely with the off white leather. 

The only negative that I can think of and I will always be honest about it is that this bag is not as robust as most other LV bags and that's because one look at where the handles meet the bag shows you that the it is a piece of leather holding the handles in place.  THE BAG IS NOT WEAK OR CHEAPLY MADE.  It's just not meant for heavy loads.  If you're like me, this may not be your ideal day to day bag.

Crazy Days

If you have been reading this blog at all for the past little while, you know that I'm crazy...(we could just stop there but we won't GO THERE TODAY), for sales!!

I don't know what it is but there isn't a HANDY bone in my body but I will religiously check out the Hammer Drop sale at Home Depot everyday, without fail.  I don't know what a Husky compressor does but I do like to know that it is a $100 off today.  I have no idea what this fascination is for.  And if I had the slightest and I do mean the slightest inclination as to what a Husky compressor was and also knew that it was $100 off today, I'd buy one...just in case I need it one day.  Yes, that is me in a NUTshell.  Hey, we all have our vices, mine is the word SALE.

It makes me go bleary eyed and catatonic all at once.  Common sense, rationale, intelligence and all that good stuff go out the window and all I can hear myself saying is, "Well, it's on sale!  I gotta get one now!".

Having said that I want my own Hammer Drop of the Day Sale.  Home Depot can't have all that fun to themselves.  Besides, when I have had a sale, I have enjoyed them immensely because I get great feedback from people who under current circumstances would have to say no to a bag due to hard times.  A sale makes everyone happy!

Hot New Miu Miu

I love Miu Miu bags.  Like their sister company, Prada, they make the sexiest bags on earth.  Not necessarily the most practical or durable, but darling, who needs practical and durable when you are trying to be sexy!!?!!

I do really well in this business because I like to be honest.  I don't have it in me to lie.  It's just too much work!  One of  the things I tell anyone and everyone that purchases a Prada or Miu Miu bag from me is they are just not ENGINEERED to be work horses.  I remember telling one lady that if you have kids and want ot use it as a bag that you can carry everything you own in, forget it.  The bag will break.  Now, I have written this many times but this is not just the case for the replicas.  The real Pradas and the real Miu Mius are not meant for strenuous work. 

If you look closely to loops and clasps on these bags, you will see thin pieces of fabric or the thinnest pieces of metal holding the strap to the bag.  Clearly, a bag that is made like this is not going to hold your laptop, your running shoes, your yoga pants, your 4000 keys, your wallet, your sunglasses, your book to read on the train, your sweater, your hairpin, your kid's cherished Iron Man doll [that is now in your purse because he smacked his brother], etc.  I just described HALF of what is in my purse.

Bag Charms

I thought it was just my imagination but bag charms are incredibly popular.  I have had 4 people in the last hour ask me about bag charms!

Deals Deals Deals

Every now and then, my husband threatens divorce or worse since I let handbags pile up at my house.  They are bags that I have received as a sample from my supplier and cannot use myself (Please...I'm backlogged for about a year!!) or they are bags that were shipped to me in error by the supplier (meaning someone ordered a blue Hermes bag and the supplier sent me WHITE).

I have some great deals on these bags since I really don't want to be a divorcee right now.

This bag is awesome.  And if I wasn't such a pig, I'd actually carry a white bag without making it look like garbage.  This bag has everything.  THERE IS NO DAMAGE.  It was sent to me in error.  The customer had wanted a off white bag and the supplier sent me the white one.

I love, love, love this bag.  I was seriously going to keep it but it's got a couple of issues FOR ME.  It's too small to carry my laptop and it's too white!!

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS BAG.  It is in tip top shape.  I want it gone because a) I don't like LV Monogram anymore and b) well, there is no b).  I just want it gone.
