Sparse Writings

I have to apologise for not writing more.  I feel like a turd but it's the truth, I really do feel like a turd.  This cold/flu thing I had going on was one thing but it's left me with a horrendous hacking cough that just won't go away.  The kind that keeps you up at night.  And as a mom of young kids, I was already sleep deprived enough.

Having said that, let's move along to an awesome bag of the day. 

It's the Jimmy Choo Monna bag.  Another bag that I can load up with everything under the sun. 

Usually brands like Jimmy Choo are not well replicated.  There is a simple reason for this.  They are not as popular as you and I may think. Most people, my husband included, have never heard of Jimmy Choo.  For that reason, these kinds of products are not given the quantity runs at a factory that say Chanel, LV or Balenciaga handbag are, and conversely, these products don't get perfected at the same rate as again LV and Chanel products do. 

Now, my factory does do Jimmy Choo very well.  Pretty close to perfect and some Jimmy Choo products are comparable to LV and Chanel replication.  I know.  I know.  Your're thinking I'm just saying that because it's my factory and because I sell these bags. 

No, actually that's not my motive.  I do sell these bags and so I have to either go buy the original or make friends with people who have originals and actually check the quality of the bags I sell.  Failing that, I have to go to Macy's, Barney's, Nieman Marcus, etc., or whatever store that may carry the brand and compare my replica handbag to the original.  Since I am a handbag hog, I usually end up buying the original bag to do the comparisons (Note to hubby:  I usually sell the now second hand bag to a friend - I swear!).

All in all, I have to, check the bags out in order to be able to sell them.  I check them out when I go see the factory in Asia.  I see what runs they're going to do and what products they're excited about.  The I ensure that the factory is actually doing what they state they are doing.  I live on the other side of the world from the factory and so my only means of ensuring they are keeping their end of the quality control bargain up is to check their products. 

I know some people would do things differently but we're all wired with a different sense of good value and honesty.  I'm not good with telling people that they are going to get a GREAT product if I don't personally know that.





I do however personally know that this Jimmy Choo Monna is an excellent sexy sleek bag.  It comes in both Black and Brown.  I'm a sucker for brown and so I think that bag is even nicer than the Black!

I don't know how Jimmy Choo does it but he's got phenomenal insight into what makes women look good.  Shoes, handbags...in my books the guy is a genius.

Welcome Back

I had a great Thanksgiving.  I know this sounds confusing to our international readers, but our American neighbours celebrate Thanksgiving in late November.  I have no idea why but I think that giving "thanks" is the most important part.  I have a lot to be thankful for.

A couple of days off being one right off the bat.  Ahhh, I feel so much better but I came back to about 30 orders.  Can't wait to get going on those!

Some of you who ordered last week are gonna experience a slight delay.  Sorry, not due to my Thanksgiving Holiday but it was a national 2 day holiday in China.  My factory was closed and all shipping was brought to a halt until late Friday. 

I will be in touch with you about possibly needing the full 10 days for your delivery.  Sorry guys, holidays happen!

Having said that, let's move onto the bag of the day.  You know I originally thought this wasn't even a real design.  I thought it was made up in the Asian factories and proliferated from there.  Turns out I was wrong...again.  It's a great little bag for when you're going to a wedding or just out with the girls to dance and don't want your LV Mahina flopping around.

It's the smallest bag in the Classic Flap series.  I have it in the gold and the silver varieties.  I believe and please don't quote me on this (since up until now I thought this bag existed in fairy tales), it only has a black interior.  Unlike it's bigger 2.55 Classic Flap (what a nightmare of a bag for me - maybe Chanel is not my forte?), which comes in Gold and Silver toned hardware with either a Red or Black interior.

Dolce & Gabbana

So I finally did get my shipment of Dolce & Gabbana bags.  There is some very nice stuff here. I'm all about the bigger, more versatile bags and this drawstring tote with fur is great!

This bag is so different from any thing else on my site.  It's not at as big as it looks and the opening at the top is not that large at all. 

So if you were thinking, like I do, to slip your laptop in here, you'd have to play with it to get it in.  Yes, I carry my laptop in anything that will hold it.  I hate computer bags, they are so awkward when you are running for the train or even walking.  The back part of the bag is always hitting either me or someone else in a crowded area. 

I prefer getting a bigger handbag which doubles as my purse and my laptop bag. 

This rather unique Dolce & Gabbana bag comes in black too. 
















I love this bag.  It has a very luxurious feel to it.  I'm not sure how practical it is on a day to day basis but when you're stepping out and/or want to carry something that NO ONE else has, this is it.

Messed Up - Chanel Issues

So I did it again, I didn't review some pics on my site.  The Chanel part of my website from the beginning was giving me problems.  I was in a super duper rush to get it up and some pics were mixed up with not good replica pics.  Don't ask me how I manage to do this but all I can say was in my defense is that I was a) tired, b) getting sick and starting to feel worn down), c) getting sick of the Chanel store giving me so many problems with the taxes and shipping costs, d) all of the above and probably 8,000 other things!

So let me clarify, and even as I write this, I am worried I am gonna mess it up.  Chanel has this Classic Flap 2.55 handbag that we all love and want.

The problem with me is that I get very easily confused in due to all the variations it comes in and what my factory actually manufactures.  This time tested true handbag comes in 3 different sizes, Small, Medium and Large.  I'm not even 100% sure if the Small size is licensed Chanel and authentic because I never see the Small size in their stores or in their catalogues.  Regardless, I have seen a small 8" size bag online, on celebrities and on many other replica stores. 

Here's where it gets confusing for me, because, well I'm slow that way.  The Large bag which measures almost 13" comes with either GOLD toned or SILVER toned hardware. That's simple enough.  Then it comes in either Gold toned or SILVER toned hardware with either a BLACK or RED interior!

Both LARGE and MEDIUM bags have a double flap, a small one inside for a separate compartment and a larger outer flap that closes the entire bag. 

Now wanna know where it gets confusing for me?

My factory only makes the LARGE bag with either GOLD toned or SILVER toned hardware with a RED interior.  NO BLACK interior bags are made by the factory. 

But in the MEDIUM sized bag, I have four variatinons of this bag!

1.  MEDIUM bag with GOLD toned hardware and RED interior;

2.  MEDIUM bag with SILVER toned hardware and RED interior;

3.  MEDIUM bag with GOLD toned hardware and BLACK interior;

4.  MEDIUM bag with SILVER toned hardware and BLACK interior. 

Guess what a genius I am and guess what I did?  I took all the pics in one day and didn't bother to PLAN out the picture downloading process. I was so incredibly confused between large and medium bags that my head was spinning!  Some large pics were in the Medium handbag section and vice versa.  Oh, it was a mess.  And one of those messes where you know things are not right, but it's such a big fix that you try to put it off as long as humanly possible. 

To make matters worse, and really I did not think that was gonna be possible here, the website company I use automatically shrinks the pics to some extent to make them fit neatly on the page. 

I take very high resolution pics so that you can see the texture of the leather and the detaling of the hardware. 

When I uploaded them onto the my website, the automatic shrinker ended up warping some of the pics and so the natural curve you would see or some of the features you're looking for on Chanel bags were definitely off.

I appreciate several shoppers point this out to me.  Thank you! 

I have after all that fixed the Chanel store and added the last of the product that I will be carrying.  All the bags should have a uniformed look and look the exactly as the bag that I am selling and offering from the factory. 

I have a lot more handbags to put up but I'm gonna make sure the ones that are up are "working" and looking like they should.

Not only am I feeling 100% better, I have a brand new bag that I absolutely cannot take my eyes off.

Woweee!  Marc Jacobs Christie handbag.  What an awesome bag!  Seriously, this is everything I look for in a bag.  It's elegant, it's sophisticated, it's low key, and yet it's truly beautiful.  And it will fit all the things I need to get to work, pick up the kids, grocery shop and then home.

One of my readers asked me if I will be bringing in shoes as well.  Yes, in due time. 

I saw this picture online (just a random shot, I don't know the watermarked site and I definitely am not promoting it) of one of the thousands of shoes that I may have in the near future and I just had to laugh. I've seen Posh wear these YSL 6" babies.  I love high heels, even with two young kids, however, I can assure you that I'd break my neck wearing these.  There is no doubt in my mind that a wrist and an ankle would go with the broken neck.

What do you think guys?  Bring in shoes?

I'm feeling much better.  Thank you to all that asked!  I didn't get to post a bag of the day yesterday due to illness and so I am doing a second one today.

I can't believe I have these in stock.  I absolutely love this bag.  The Chloe Paraty. It's everything, kinda big so that I can hold everything I need, It's got a lot of hardware on it and it's been done very well.   There's just something about the embossed alligator skin that I get hook, line and sinkered with, but for a more practical everyday use bag, you can get this in flat nappa black leather, dark brown or tan/light brown.










This is a very hot bag.  Very new and very in demand.  Like the LV Mahina, it's not cheap.  It is $290.00USD, but as always that includes shipping!

Back-ish

Hey everyone!

Sorry I had to take yesterday off.  I was a mess.  Whatever is going around is wickedly nasty.  Wipes you right out.

So during my downtime, I updated my website with more products.  I finally got all my Balenciaga handbags up on the site.

That is one messed up company.  Every single handbag has the word Giant in it.  New Giant Handbag, New Giant City Handbag, New Giant Brief, New Giant City Part Time Handbag, huh?

Do you know how confused I was by the end of it?  I did this on Ny-Quil; I know there will be errors.  If you see them, let me know! 

It's a good thing Balenciaga makes such nice stuff.  It was worth the work.

Here is there awesome GIANT City Handbag.  It comes in to like 200 colours.  All of them have been uploaded to the website.

This is a very large bag.  It doesn't look like it in the picture but it's not at all a compact bag.  It's HUGE.

I have this bag in red, pink, blue, hot pink, dark brown, light brown / tan, and like I said about 150 other colours.  Balenciaga sure likes colour!  The detaling on this bag is excellent.  It doesn't have the usual bling but it does have a lot of texture in the leather, buckles, perforations, strap padding.  All that is captured in the replica.

Will post shortly.  Ny-Quil is some good stuff, man.  I would not have been able to sleep or get any rest without it.  Problem is I could barely tell you my name right now.  Ny-Quil good for sleep.  No good for alertness of any kind!

If I post a pair of socks as the handbag of the day, have a good laugh on me.  Clearly I've had way too much Ny-Quil by that time.

Fightin' It...

I have been fighting a horrid cold / flu / virus for the past week.  It comes and go and I know what you're thinking:  H1N1.  I'm thinking it too.

I'm off to see the doctor.  I know it's probably paranoia but that's the last thing I need.  Death is so not pretty.  I leave you with the cutest of cute bags.

No, I'm not on a Gucci's payroll.  Yes, I realise it's three for three on Gucci. 

I just find their bags to be so dramatically different from one to the next.  Unlike LV which has a million bags in the same style and leather (Suhali and Mahina are here to change that though), Gucci is like here, there and everywhere!  They have no definitive pattern in their styles.  You gotta love 'em for not being complacent or passive and constantly being innovative.  This is the Gucci Queen Bag.  And Queenly it is.  I love buckles, bows, and sparkly shiny things.  This bag is all that and more.

I do find it a bit small for my day to day use (I have kids and have to carry everything including the kitchen sink to make it through a day) but it's fantastic with the LBD or when you're just wanting to look super pretty and feel ultra feminine. 

I will write more later today, providing I'm not contaminated.

What A Day...

Very delayed today.  Holy orders!  Keep them coming!  I am so happy that folks are getting the handbags they always wanted!

My bag of the day.  The Gucci Leather Indy. I saw this today in the area I work.  I had to do a double take.  I was being nosey and trying to see if it was the real thing or a darn good replica.  I couldn't tell.

This bag looks flashy and to some extent it might be seen that way, but it's not ridiculous or in your face at all.  It's quite elegant.   What you can't see here and what I truly appreciate is that it fits over the shoulder comfortably.   The handle is not as small as it looks or the bag is a lot bigger than it appears in pictures.






It does come in a bunch of colours.  I have it in red, dark brown, an awesome gold and a black crocodile skin print.  I am just in the process of putting the bags up onto my site and I'll hyperlink the colours here to the site tomorrow.

You know that feeling when you feel fulfilled and can sit back and say, wow, this is fun?  I've finally found that feeling.

Seriously?

You know far be it for me to knock something that comes from a revered house of style.

But seriously...

What is this thing?  Now, let me preface, if you like it then good on you!  And you be proud!  No one is making fun of the fact that you might like this...

...handbag.

For me, however, it's just too, umm, too, well, it's too much.  I like a quiet sophistication.   A reserved humour.  A silent but distinguished presence.

Not, "Hey look at me, I paid $3,000 for this thing! Look at me!  Look at me now!!  Are you looking??!!??" 

This has to be a classic case of The Emporer's New Clothes.  Maybe Gucci thinks that because it's Gucci and because it costs more than a green car from India, that we won't say anything.

I wouldn't buy the replica of this bag which is priced at $350USD, let alone the original which is unabashedly priced at $2,999USD.

You know what? If they took off all the gypsy bunnies, the owls and jesters (those are jesters, right?), it would be a phenomenal Gucci Boston bag.  What were the thinking?

Pass.

Well Hello There, Suhali!

I have to admit, I'm not the bigest LV fan.  I don't go ga ga over it like my friends and some of my faithful shoppers.  I have a girlfriend who carries a LV Griet, and Graffiti LV wallet, a LV key chain that has a LV scarf tied to it.  And on rainy days a LV umbrella.   That's too much!  And way too much LV if you ask me.

My luke warmness to LV might change though.  I just got these bags in on Friday.  The Louis Vuitton Suhali.  Wow.  I'm in love. 

I love a classic looking bag that has practicality and versatility.  This bag screams all that to me.  It also screams, "I cost a lot of money!" and it does.  It retails for $2,680USD.  Wowee.  That's a spicy meatball!

It comes in cream which to me is the most "Wall Street" or "Bay Street" colour and look you can get.  It goes with everything from a serious pin stripe pant suit to a summery flowing dress. 

I'm torn because I'm diggin' the cream and I'm also diggin' the dark red or maroon. 

Decisions.  Decisions.














This truly is a beautiful bag.  Every details is breathtaking (look at them little feets!).  It's got so much hardware on it that that alone gives it a genuine feeling of opulence and exclusivity.  You know, if you're into that kind of thing :)

The Weekend Bag

We all need a weekend bag.  Not the practical office to out with the girls bag.  I'm talking, "I'm gettin' down tonight" bag.  Jimmy Choo's excellent in bringing out the party mode in anyone.  The Mahala does it neatly.

Look at this bag.  It screams, "I'm here to have good time!". 

It is sequined and has solid leather on the sides.  I've included pics from different angles. 

It's a small bag but big enough for these important things when you're out and about on the town!

It comes in silver as well.  I'm a silver girl myself.  Gold doesn't go with my skin tone so well.

This particular bag is done exceptionally well by the factory I deal with. 

I try to be honest when they don't do so well with them and with you.  Hermes is a new line for most of the factories and trust me, Hermes replica products leave a lot to be desired.  That's why the Hermes section on my site is pretty much blank.  I am waiting for the products under the Hermes line to get up to par with the LV and Chanel replication capacity.  Then I'm sure they will take off. 

Unless you're a movie star, a princess or a soccer wife, people already know you're carrying a replica when you carry anything by Hermes.  A Birkin costs $45,000 (last time I checked...could be more or less now).  If you carry a poorly made Birkin, then you only tell the world you're carrying a fake and a bad fake at that!

Hold off on Hermes products from any site!

I got a HUGE shipment in today.  The UPS guy and I are gonna be good friends for awhile.

I am asking that some of my customers, the not so shy ones, write a review on the IT TAKES A FAKE site on the stuff they are about to receive.

As soon as you guys can read some reviews, I'm sure some of you will jump on board.  I'm glad you are taking it easy and not making rash decisions.  Go slow.  The handbags will be here.

People ask me why I don't drop ship directly from the factory.  You wanna know why?

Every company, no matter how big or small, will have some quality issues.  No company can guarantee 100% quality control.  If you order something from me, I want to see it before it goes to you.  I want to be that extra set of eyes to make sure that you got an exceptional product.

And if you didn't.  If the factory messed up or sent the wrong handbag, I want to catch it.  I want to be able to call the factory and deal with them.  I want to get the right product at the quality I promised out to you. 

The last thing I want is for you to get the product and be unsatisfied because it's not at a level you expected or it's the wrong item entirely. 

This usually adds an extra day onto the shipping but it's worth it.  It saves you time, it saves me hassle and everybody is happy!  That is one other reason why I absolutely insist on a 10 day shipping period.

I have been getting a lot of requests for a bag buy.  I will be happy to do one.

I will take a poll both here and on my site and see which handbag we should buy first.  A bag buy is basically many of us coming together and deciding on a handbag (majority rules) to buy in bulk.  The factory is happy to give us a good deal which includes shipping on any handbag.

Usually when I have done this in the past, the factory knocks off anywhere from 25-35% depending on the bag.   That means a bag that costs $250.00 on my site is about $200.00 WITH SHIPPING.  That's a pretty good deal.
