Prada

I love Prada bags!  They are the ultimate in refined sophistication.  The odd bag is flashy, but usually nothing is over the top and most pieces can be taken to the office and then out on the town.

Imma lovin' this one.  It's small and simple. It carries everything I need in a purse, yet, it is room enough to have my big wallet, phone, keys, lipstick, etc.

Here's the black.

It's on the site now for $248.00 and comes in red, dark brown, pink and purple!

Dark Brown Tote

Awesome bag!  Versatile, youthful, yet sophisticated.  What more can you ask for?

Happy and safe Shopping, everyone!

My Greatest Fear

I have been following a handbag site for a couple of months now.  They had some great bags and some really crappy bags.  I'm just nosey and wanted to know where they were getting their bags from.  I'm always interested to know if they use the same factory as I do.  Again, just me being nosey.

Anyway, I logged onto the site yesterday and get this message:

This Account Has Been Suspended

Please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible.

Even if it's as innocuous as someone at the company forgot to pay the internet company, this can't be reassuring for anyone.

I have been checking the site every hour and no change has been made to rectify the issue to have the site back up.   I don't know about you guys, but if I placed an order and then saw this message a few days later, I'd be scared.  On the phone with my credit card company and desperately trying to reach someone at this company.

When I was being nosey and going through their site, I only found one area that had an email address.  I wrote to them to query a handbag.  It took 2 full days to get a response.  By the time they wrote back I had forgotten I had written to them!

When I did get the response, they only answered half my question and the other half they answered incorrectly, as in they misunderstood what I was trying to ask.  I sent off another email clarifying my question further and again it took another 2 days to get an answer!  At that rate, I'd buy a bag from in a year!  I need answers now!, not 2 days from now!

The site did have a North American phone number listed and when I tried it, it was disconnected.  That should have been my sure sign that something in the milk ain't clean.  And sure enough, the site's completely vanished today.

Please be careful people.  It's not worth the loss of money and it's definitely not worth the headache.  Know your seller. Have regular, reliable dialogue with them.

Good Replica, Bad Replica, Horrible Replica

A reader of mine brought this to my attention.  I wanted to use this blog to teach tips on how to buy a good replica.  Naturally, I keep pics on my computer that represent bad/horrible replicas.  Guess what I did?  Yup, you're right.  I'm not blonde, but I sure do have my share of blonde moments. I uploaded BAD fake pics onto my site which sells handbags. Nice, huh? Man, I need some sleep. Here's what my reader caught. This is a poor replica. It looks nice until you look at the details.

See the differences?  Aside from lighting, the one above has large loop holes in the strap that goes around the bag.  The original bag has no loop holes.  A good replica should also have no buckle holes in the front part of the strap.

You can't tell from the picture above, but the hardware is alos a cheap replica of what is on the original.

You wanna hear the worst part?  My replica costs $240.00, boasts a 7 star grade replication process where fine details are not overlooked.

The nasty replica above costs $370.00!  So you're gonna pay top dollar and not even get something that remotely resembles the original.

I don't get that!

Want to see a really BAD replica? This is my very fun Prada Fringe. It costs $256.00USD on my site.  I love the attitude of this bag.  And trust me you're gonna need it if you want to carry this puppy around.

Aside:  My husband calls it cousin IT.  He also has explicitly told me he will kill it with his shoe if sees the slightest movement from it.

Yeah, yeah.  I get it.  It's unusal, but you will DEFINITELY get a ton of compliments for it as well, especially when you see it in real life.  It's the finest nappa leather.  Very soft and the detailing on this bag is awesome.  When done right, that is.

Here is something that is being sold on the internet for $290.00USD.

The original Fringe doesn't even come in that colour, and dear God, look at those fringes!  Ugh.  I wouldn't buy that thing to the right for $5.00!  I'd be ashamed to carry it.  And any attitude I'd have with the bag above would evaporate in a quick second.

To make things even worse, if that's even possible here, look at the Prada insignia.  Just affixed onto the leather with what looks like glue.  Like that's gonna hold!  That Prada seal will fall off this beast of a bag while it's still being shipped to you!

Nasty.

The nastiest part is that there are replicas like this out there and they charge TOP dollar for them.

Double Ugh.

Guys, write to me if you have any questions about anything on my website.  A couple thousand eyeballs are better than my very tired two.  And if you're ever unsure about a site or a product, this is the place to ask.  I can help you here.

Thank you all that have helped.

Happy Shopping!

Let's get this show rolling...

I'm back.  I know it took me a few days to get into gear but I'm back!  Thank God.  I have about 2,000,000 more products to add to the site, however, the site is working and some shopping, particularly LV Monogram merchandise, can be purchased.  Speaking of LV.  I was inputting products and I think I fell in love with this bag.  It's so very feminine.

It's the Louis Vuitton Beverly GM.  This might very well be my everyday GO TO bag.  The detailing on this bag is impeccable.  This is a close up of the buckle.

I also have a good selection of Prada up. My other new GO TO bag might very well be this beauty.   The Prada Tote in cream.  What a great colour for fall!

Thank you to everyone who has been patient with me.  Now I need to get to a mountain of emails and orders.

If you've placed an order, I have a huge shipment coming in today. You should be getting your bags soon!

Happy Shopping everyone!

Houston, We Have Lift Off!

Okay, so I haven't died.

I nearly died.  That website nearly killed me. There are a TON of products that still have to go in, but I've launched the site so that you guys know there is a site and I'm not just imaging it!

Like I said it's not fancy and it's not supposed to be.  I'm happy if you guys can place orders and invoices can be done properly.

Please make sure you read the Returns/Exchange Policy.  That way you understand what you're getting yourself into!

I owe you guys like 5 bags of the day!  Please bear with me as I start posting more blog entries as well.  I should be up and running in about 1 hr.

Happy Shopping...finally

Done. Like. Dinner.

I'm done.  No, I'm not finished but I'm done working on the site.

I can't do anything until I speak to IT people about the shopping cart that is affecting some items.  I've opened up the shopping area but MANY pictures are not up yet.

Don't fret.  It's getting there.  Just taking longer than I had thought.  Oh well.

My kids are starting to call me, "that lady with the computer". I think it's time to get up and walk around a bit.

I will write more interesting things in a bit.

Taxes and Shopping Cart

I live in Canada.  We take taxes very seriously!

My shopping card is not applying taxes properly to local orders from with Ontario and Canada.  Bear with me as we try desperately to get this to work.  I'm here but troubleshooting small things on the site.  I won't put it up until I can get that tax issue fixed.  There is no point as it making others do wonky things as well.

Long story. Long day.  I will never ever ever make another website again.

Write me if you need me.

Here's my choice for bag of the day.  Wow, Chanel is making some nice stuff!

I got it on my site which doesn't want to charge taxes!  It's $260USD.  Excellent detail to workmanship.  Baby soft lamb skin.

I'd say Happy Shopping but that just gives me the shakes right now.

*grin*

Website

Hi guys,

I'm here.  I'm alive.  Just very busy with the site.  Speaking of which the site should be up today.  I won't have all 1200 products ready for sale or with pictures but the names and details will be posted.  Slowly then I will add more pictures.  That truly is the hardest part.  Ugh.

I even have my own photography tent!  I never thought I would say those words.

It will be quiet on my end because well, I am busy!

Come by when you can:  http://www.justliketherealthing.net/!

Missed bag of the day yesterday but will have one for today in a bit!

Happy Shopping!

Bag of the Day

Bag of the day has to be this one. Prada Gaufrean.  I love it. I got mine about 2 months ago.

Buttery soft lambskin leather. All the right ruffles, bells and whistles.  Holds my laptop and looks so damn stylish! $260.00USD on my site. This replica is worth every penny!  All the detaling is perfect.  Not something that is always doable on Prada.

Happy Shopping Everyone! Contest leaders are doing well. Come on board! Win a prize!

Always Ask Yourself: What Exactly Do I Have To Lose? LONG POST

I do want to talk about something very important when making any kind of online purchase but particularly one with the replica industry.  It's a lengthy topic and is open to a lot of discussion and you can find that discussion on hundreds of blogs.  My topic of the day is ALWAYS KNOW what potentially you have to lose when you order from a replica site.

And more specifically, my advice is that when you are shopping from any site online, replica or not, always read the policies on returns, exchanges, stocking fees, return shipping fees, etc.  Even the big stores like Sears, Target, etc. have return policies and procedures that you must follows.

I'll use my site as an example, only because I know that return policy best and because I can only speak for myself and my own experiences that I have encountered while running a replica handbag business.

After I explain, what I believe to be a fairly reasonable return/exchange policy, I'll use other sites as reference and point out some loop holes that you want to stay away from.

So here goes. This is taken word for word from my soon to be live website.  It is a collection of my own experiences as a seller and as a buyer mixed with frustrations as both buyer and seller :

Returns and Exchanges:
I'm very glad you have clicked on this link.  It means you are an informed shopper!  Just Like The Real Thing! (herein the "Company") has a guarantee that has been written by lawyers and simplified by me.  The guarantee is straightforward. You have 10 days from the date of receipt to decide if you want to keep the handbag(s), or return it for either a FULL refund or an exchange for another item on the website.
Refunds:
    1. If you decide to return the handbag(s), it must be returned in the ORIGINAL condition that it was sent to you, along with all the components that were also sent including, but not limited to the dust bag, certificate of authencity, any padlocks and keys, any trinkets, charms or gadgets that came with the handbag, any straps, and any other item that was in the original package that was shipped to you.  The handbag must not be used or damaged in any way.   Used or damaged products cannot be returned to the factory in Asia and therefore cannot be refunded nor exchanged by the Company.  Any items returned to the Company f a used or damaged in any state will be documented and returned to the buyer with a detailed written explanation as to why a return and/or exchange is not possible.
    2. Every product that leaves the Company is checked for quality and any possible defects to ensure your satisfaction.  To keep the integrity of the products sold on this site and to protect any prospective buyers, the Company photographs every package that is shipped out, including the EXACT condition and make of the item(s), the method in which the item(s) is wrapped and/or packaged, and as well, the shipping papers pertaining to the item(s).  This ensures that what the Company sends out is EXACTLY what is then returned to the Company for a refund and/or exchange.  [Note to readers of this blog:  There is a reason for this extra step.  While there are a lot of scam sites out there, there are also scam customers.  These customers will intentionally buy a high end replica, valuing at least $200.00USD and then surreptitiously try to return a lower end $50.00USD replica handbag bought from another site.]
    3. If you decide to return a product, please contact me at info@justliketherealthing.net or give me a call to obtain the return address.  All returns must have a postal tracking number and that tracking number must be sent to me once the product is shipped.  Packages returned to the Company without a tracking number that are then subsequently "lost in the mail" will not receive a refund.  Please protect yourself and your money by obtaining a tracking number at the time of shipping.
    4. The cost to return an item is solely the buyer's.  If you are located in Canada or the US the average cost is about $15-$20.00USD to return the handbag to the Company's Toronto address.
Exchanges:

  1. Just like the policy for the refunds, Points 1, 2 3 and 4 apply;
  2. Like the initial shipment from the Company, there is no shipping fee to send out an exchanged item from the Company;
  3. A tracking number will be sent to the email address you provided once an exchange is shipped from the Company;
Okay that's a lot to take in but there are some very important points here:

  1. When I shopped replicas, my greatest fear was that I was gonna get ripped off.  Never mind the other fear which was I was going to get a piece of junk, I was more worried that I was going to pay into a scam and never see my money again.  Never see a handbag and never be able to do anything about it.  Part of my fear was that I was dealing with a company that clearly was not in Canada or the US and so reporting to any kind of authorities was going to have no recourse or resolve for me.
  2. My other fear was that if the item shipped to me was junk, then the return process was going to be such a hassle.  The company was going to give me a hard time, play dumb and pretend they never got the item and therefore not refund my money once I sent the item back, etc.
Point 1 is an easy one to investigate.  Do some research.  Google the company.  If you see A LOT of bad reviews or comments written, RUN, SISTER, RUN.  Now, be objective.  No company can please every customer EVERY time.  So expect to see some customers with bad reviews, just not EVERY customer.  If you read the reviews, you'll be able to differentiate authentic problems inherent to the company from the genuine whiners.  I'm sorry to sound so harsh but it's a reality of owning a business, working with people and human nature.  No matter what, some people are never satisfied. I have an aunt like this.  She is unhappy if I cook dinner for family get togethers because it's not "authentic" enough, AND she is unhappy if she has to cook dinner for everyone, because she is once again put out.  There is no middle ground with her.  And no matter how good of a cook I become, she is never going to admit that I have made a meal as good as her.  And no matter how much we ask her to take it easy and not cook, she will do the cooking, grumbling about never getting any rest!  I think we all have this person in our families!  Well, all businesses are familiar with this same kind of person as a customer.

Point 2 is a bit more difficult.  Quality, replication and "general awesomeness" are subjective attributes on a product.  What might be the greatest Chanel replica in the world to one person may just be "pretty good" to someone else.  There is no winning on this.  Clearly, a piece of junk is a piece of junk.  I'm not talking about those replicas.  I'm talking about the good ones.  It's hard no matter how good the replica is to get everyone's consensus on it.

For that reason, you have to do your research and see who is offering a) a high end replica and b) if it is not high end enough for YOU, whatever those standards may be, then what do YOU have to do to return the product back to the company and get your money back.  You have to go back and ask yourself, what exactly do I have to lose in both TIME and MONEY if this transaction is a dud?

And in the case of my site, it's about $20.00USD in return shipping fees to send the package back to me.

I know I sound biased about *my site* but I'm really not trying to be, and it's really not my objective here.  What I am trying to convey to you is what any good site would require of you.  And that is an understanding of *your* potential costs/losses when you're buying a product them them.  This is one of the MAIN tools you need to evaluate when you're buying replica ANYTHING online.  So think about it.  Potentially losing $20.00USD is not bad, especially since you took this HUGE leap of faith, trusted someone, made an informed decision, and bought a replica handbag online.  If you turn out to be disappointed with your purchase, you know full well you can return the item, and at the end of the day you lose $20.00 in return shpping fees.

Man, I wish some of my pre-marriage relationships with men came with that kind of assurance!  I'd be out like $100.00 for all my duds!  No drama.  No yelling.  No screaming "I hate you"!  Awesome!

Now at some other sites, which appear shady to me, I have read, in their broken English sentences, that they only do returns with the following conditions::

a) if you decide you don't want a replica handbag which basically translates to you don't like their replicas (Good luck trying to tell them it's not authentic enough);
b)  they charge you restocking fee sometimes as high as 25% of the cost of the handbag!;
c)  they give you 5-7 days to make a return or exchange, sometimes from the date shipped (read carefully);
d)  you definitely have to pay for shipping back to the company, which is often located in Asia, which translates to very high shipping fees; and lastly as some people have noticed,
e)  once your package is returned to the company, tracking number or not, some scam sites will state they never got your returned package.

So let's do the math.  You buy a Chanel 2.55 Classic Flap for, let's say, $250USD from a site you don't know.  You didn't read the return policy as well as you should have and now you decide you want a refund.  I'm using Canada Post rates here but right off the hop, you have to pay at least $50-$70USD to ship it back to the company in Asia.  You have to use a premium postal service because if you use the Slow Boat service, you won't get it back in their 5-7 day return policy.

So right now you're out roughly $320USD. You get your $100.00 insurance maximum because more insurance costs more $$!  Several weeks go by and you hear nothing.  You see no money returned on your card.  You contact the company through a series of emails.  Some sites even have phone numbers.  Don't be fooled by thinking those sites are more "sophisticated".  The phone number is often a recorded message.  When you do finally get in touch with the company, they now say that they never received the item back.  Your tracking number says they the package was delivered.  You go to Canada Post to dispute this.  Canada Post will tell you point blank that there is nothing they can do.  They will tell you the package was delivered and that they did their part of the job.  End of discussion with Canada Post.  By now you have spent about 2-3 weeks chasing people all over the world for this package.  Fun!

You also have a few more grey hairs and you're still out about $320.00USD.

I know what you're thinking.  That you'd call your credit card company and they'd take care of it for you.  Remember this whole economic slump?  Remember why it happened?  Credit card companies have really tightened the belt on those kinds of write offs.  Credit card companies cannot help you if you shipped a product out and  the company says they never got it.  There is very little the credit card company can do.  Maybe if you get an agent who is really willing to help you and is totally compassionate, you might get a refund in about 4-6 weeks.  But the company on the other side will show papers that they sent you product, and technically they did, and that you never returned it.  Can you see how messy this is getting?  It quickly becomes one of those he said she said scenarios.

The credit card company may in the end take your side.  It really depends on the company these days.  The wrong attitude here is that placing one call to the credit card companies will resolve everything.

Folks, in the end, you're all smart cookies.  The best advice I can give you is to always read the return/exchange policy and to always do the math.  Always ask yourself, what your TRUE cost/loss of ordering from a site will be and use that tool to weigh against other sites.

Happy Safe Shopping Everyone!

I am around today however the network at the office is experiencing MAJOR issues.

Please bear with me while I try to access drives that are now showing as DOES NOT EXIST **nervously biting finger nails**.

Kinda Brain Dead...

...from adding products to the new website.  OMG.  I can't even see straight.  Why does Louis Vuitton make so many &#$*((## products???!!??

Anywho, sorry for no posts today.  I am exhausted from selling handbags and inputting handbags, with their shipping and taxes, colours, etc.  I think my handbag addiction is gonna be killed off pretty soon....Nah, just kidding.  I am absolutely loving this.  It's FUN!

So I think I really am brain dead.  Why on earth would I pick two first prize bags that look so much alike?  And I have a whole boatload (literally) of bags.  Why not just let the first place winner pick the bag he/she wants?  Duh!

I've decided to allow the first place winner of contest #1 to choose any bag he/she wants from new website http://www.justliketherealthing.net/, up to a maximum value of $260.00USD.  I'll change the Rules and Regulations a bit later.  So far the response has been great.  GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.

LOTS of people have signed up.  Not too many secondary sign ups yet or at least not that I have been notified.

Having said that, it just wouldn't be a day if I didn't highlight a bag.  So after entering 4 gazillion Louis Vuitton products, I am done with Louis.

I entered this one today and thought, wow, perfect for winter!  $248.00USD on the new website which is launching September 26, 2009!  http://www.justliketherealthing.net/.

I love Gucci.  This is an awesome bag, however, I'm not 100% sure it even made it to a Gucci line.  It could very well have been part of a season promotional or introduced as filler for a line but may have not been mass produced for the markets.

Let me know if you know otherwise.  I just like it for the fur.  Awesome for the winter we're gonna have in a matter of weeks!

Thanks for being patient guys! I so appreciate it.

Happy Shopping.

Stand Corrected

Apparently and I did not know this but Chanel is made in both Italy and in France.  Go figure.  I thought  the French would be indignant about this.

There is no knowledge of which bags are made where.  They just get produced in both France and Italy.

Wow, you learn something every day!

Thanks to one of my readers for bringing this to my attention.  Will post more in a bit.

Contest Time!!!!

I love contests.  I never, ever win but I still love them!

So let's have a contest.  I find writing about bags very interesting but I feel like that show off girl at a party that never shuts up. I'd love to hear more from you guys.  Let's spice it up.

My new website is gonna be http://www.justliketherealthing.net/.  And let's be real, in order for this to work, I need traffic!  I'm signed up for the usual Google Ads and every other ad company, but we all know nothing beats word of mouth.

I need LOTS of people to make their way over there and I thought maybe you noble readers would get your friends on board.

The First Prize is gonna be a replica Chanel Hobo bag in the colour of your choice!!!  It comes in either white, pink black (shown here) or dark brown!

Or a replica LV Mahina!!  It comes in dark brown, black ivory or white.

Both bags are made from a buttery soft leather.  Both are from my factory that does the OUTSTANDING replication on Chanel and LV products.

Since I like contests so much, there will be a second place winner too!  That prize is a replica Gucci wallet in your choice (subject to availability.  READ:  make sure I carry the wallet you want!) and third prize will be a replica LV wallet (subject also to availability.  READ:  make sure it's one I carry).

So here's how you may win:  my new site tracks members.  You have to sign up just like you sign up at any other site.  If you sign up, you get 1 "point".  If you get one friend to sign up, you get one point and your friend gets one point. The person with the most points at the end, wins!

Now this is not a full on pyramid scheme, and so if your friends' friends sign up, you don't get a point.

Here is a simple breakdown:

Jill signs up http://justliketherealthing.com/apps/auth/signup?next and becomes a member.  Jill gets one point;
Jill gets her friend Peggy to sign up as well.  Peggy gets one point AND Jill gets one point for the primary referral of a new member;
Peggy then gets 3 of her friends to sign up.  Peggy's 3 friends each get one point and Peggy gets 3 referral points.  Jill gets no new points from Peggy's secondary referrals.  If Jill did get points, then she'd automatically win the contest and that is kinda silly.

You can see how the points that can be collected add up quickly.  If you have a lot of girlfriends, this is a good time to get them to sign up!

So let's get to it. Contest begins the first day I have the site running, September 26, 2009 *fingers crossed*.  Contest closes November 1, 2009. Contest winners will be announced November 15, 2009.  What a great way to lead into the Christmas Season!

Good luck everyone!!

Rules.  Please read:

1.  Please don't open a bunch of fake accounts like.  Jill1@hotmail.com, Jill2@hotmail.com, Jill3@hotmail.com;  My website checks all emails to make sure they are valid and "live".  Putting in adlkjfajfadfjakd@gmail.com will be identified as fake and no one will get points.

2.  Make sure you tell your friend that he/she needs to let me know that you are the referring body, that is,  if Gretchen refers Stanley to join http://www.justliketherealthing.net/ as a member, then Stanley, upon joining, needs to let me know that he was referred by his friend, Gretchen.

3.  Your email address and information will be kept private and confidential and not shared with anyone for any cost.  Period.  I don't spam.  I *may* send out an email once or twice a month for the following reasons:
  • to let you know if something is on sale;
  • to let you know if there is another contest starting up; and
  • to let you know if there is a bag buy.  More on this later.
 4.  Please play nice.  If there is any dispute as to who recommended whom, I will make the final decision as to who gets the point(s).  My decision however is final.

5.  No purchase is necessary to participate in the contest.

6.  If you win, you must agree to let me use your first name only to congratulate you on my website and this blog.  That is, I will put something like, "Congrats to .  He/She is the first place winner of contest #1 and he/she takes home an awesome new black replica Chanel Hobo handbag!".

7.  I would hate to do it but if anyone is caught cheating, manipulating the contest to up their points, having total disregard for any of the rules noted above and respect for others members, I will automatically disqualify him/her from the contest and probably get them kicked off the members area.  I know scary, eh?

 8.  This contest is open to anyone who signs up for the new website and recommends their friends, but you must be at least 18 years of age to claim the prize.  If you are younger than 18, I will need your parents' or guardians' consent to send the prize to you.  I'm a mom and so yes, I will check!

9.  Please note:  The final first prize is either the replica Chanel Hobo OR the Louis Vuitton replica Mahina.  Not both.  Don't get carried away!

To Post Or Not To Post!

I'd like to post.  Really I would.  It's why I started this blog.  But I can't.  Wanna know why?  I'm too busy selling bags!! Sheesh!

Why did I go to university for 8 years when really I could have just done this all my life - and had a big smile on my face from doing something I absolutely love.  Love a little bit too much, even.  I'll give you that.

My website had some glitches.  I didn't like my new carrier / supplier / bandwith person but it turns out that if you're not web savvy and can't program on you're own, you're pretty much stuck with these guys.

Great.

So after storming off Live Chat (that's all they have for customer support), telling them to IMMEDIATELY cancel my account, I had to crawl back asking them to cancel the request to cancel.  Humbling.

Site should be done very soon.   Thank God too, because do you know how hard it is to process each order manually in PayPal?  Computers and automation are good!!

Some of you have asked me for key chains, scarves, wallets and belts.  Let's go easy people.  I'll have those items soon enough.  Let's get handbags under wraps.

So what's new in my own inventory today?  Let's see, let's see, let's see.  What's sticking out.

I'm not a big "low key" designer fan.  I love the flash of a big, popular name.  I admit it.  I'm shallow.  So here's a bag my factory sent me that until 3 weeks ago I didn't even know they existed.  *Hangs head in shame*.  They're probably huge and I didn't even know.  I'm kinda sad that I didn't know about it.  I'd buy this puppy!   I have it available for $210.00USD!  I have the ivory and charcoal in stock with me.  I also have the black but it's going for $$245.00.  Write me for more details.

I have it in this awesome charcoal for $210USD.  Great for fall.  I love the greys and browns for this season.

I also have it in black, slightly higher at $245USD.

And of course ivory for $210USD.

That's it for now.  I will write again later today.  After I fill some of these orders! As always, I'm around if you want to ask me something.  Anything!

This One? Or That One?

You guys are being great. You are diligently sending me pictures of handbags you want and asking if I am a reseller of said handbag. Thank you!  My apologies for this extra step while I desperately try to get this website up and running.

I truly was not expecting this response.  Seems like everyone wants a decently priced replica handbag in high quality.  Who can blame them?

Anyhow, I usually ask for a picture that you have seen online some place because, in this market, many different types of handbags go by the same name!

For instance, Google Prada's Antic Cervo shoulder bag.  What an awesome bag.  Okay, I am digressing.

You will get every kind of bag under the sun, including the LV Speedy being called the Prada Antic Cervo shoulder bag!

For this reason, when you write to me and I write back asking for a picture, it's because I want to make sure that the Handbag A that you're looking for, is indeed Handbag A in my head and NOT something else.

Working on all elements of the shopping cart today!  Making progress but still trouble shooting some details.  Sorry for the delay.  And thanks for your patience,

By the way, I now have the Prada Antic Cervo shoulder bag in stock.

It's $260.00USD and includes shipping to most countries.

Is A Picture Really Worth A Thousand Words?

I think that picture of your grandma on a swing that dates back to 1927 is priceless.  You cherish momentos like that for a lifetime.

How about a picture on the internet?  Ever see magazine covers adorned with celebrities lately and then see the movie star a few days later *candidly*?  Jennifer Love Hewitt is the hot item in this topic.  She seems to miraculously lose 20lbs within days for magazine covers (She's on this month's SHAPE magazine) and then when she's photographed in "real life", she's about as average and you and me (and trust me on this, there is nothing wrong with that).

So here's the scoop: I get a lot of people asking me for pictures of the products that I am selling. That is great because you want to get pics that illustrate what the product looks like at various angles and as much as you can, you want to see the detailing of that product. You also want pics because what is handbag "A" to you might be handbag "B" to me (more on this here).

But here's the problem: most of the pics, no matter who took them, get compromised on the internet. So you'll see many of the same pics for products over and over again.

Why you ask? Well, let me tell you.  I have to preface this next part with I'm not being preachy! I'm trying to be helpful.  If you already know all of this, congrats, you're an experienced shopper.  Some people are a lot more trusting, let's say, and they don't necessarily recognize all the issues that can come up with buying a replicated product online.

So here goes, as I have said many times, I personally travelled to, found and built a relationship with a factory in Asia that makes very good replica handbags that I then sell online to you guys. Having said that, I use a lot of THEIR pics. I also take some of my own pictures when I have the handbag in my own inventory, but the factory pics have the details a consumer really wants.  The factory supplies us resellers with standard pics of their products.  They are a factory and just like GM or Toyota, they have different lines.  They have their version of a Lexus type bag or more specifically, their higher end replication (that I like to focus on) and they also have their Civic and Accord models, or more specifically, the line that most people can afford and want in a day to day bag.  Like the Civic or the Accord, these handbags won't have the higher end leathers, the hardware details, and other bells and whistles, etc.  And that's OK!  Not everyone can be driving a Lexus!

The issue that arises from this is that *my* factory obviously does not just supply me. They're HUGE! And they supply operations way bigger than me. Do a search on Google.  There are a lot of resellers of replica handbags.  Those other bigger companies are also using the *same* pictures the original factory sends out to market their products to us resellers.  But some resellers are using the same pictures for both the Lexus type bag and the Accord type bag.  You with me?

In other words, there is a standard set of photos that the factory gives us resellers for mid end, high end and low end products.  The photos are all different.  And the factory is explicit in their directions about what constitutes high, mid and low end bags.  But think about it.  A reseller, who doesn't care and who is only interested in the bottom dollar and cents, will definitely use the better pictures to attract buyers, but in the end, may only be selling low end products.  The really dirty resellers will photoshop to enhance and alter pics to make "their" products look shinier, more black, more brown or more of whatever effect they were trying to achieve just to sell the products.

How will you know which site is honest and which isn't? Man, come on, you don't!! It's like anything else in life, sometimes you get a great deal and sometimes you get lemons. There are no guarantees. Using your own common sense helps a lot.

So here's the final point. Don't get offended, turned off, or start to scream and rant about how you are being ripped off/scammed if I or someone else sends you pics that you know you have seen online elsewhere. It's ok. Really.  Calm down. Take a deep breath, sister. You're gonna be ok.

While I and others reselling handbags do get most (not all) of our pics from the factories, your best bet is to ASK lots of questions about the bag, the detailing, the hardware. You should also build a relationship with your  the seller of your handbags. You don't have to spend 20 hours of research to buy a handbag, but do some basic inquiries to ensure you are getting exactly what you are paying for.

The most important part is to learn about the return/exchange policy, what it will cost you to return and more importantly, if you can even return a bag once you buy it.  If you find that you send off an email to a site's customer service about their return and/or exchange policy and they don't reply or they are wishy washy with their answers, well, that's a pretty good sign you don't want to deal with them.

This site when it's up and running will offer a full 14 days to return the product in its ORIGINAL condition.  I want you to be happy and I want you to come back and buy more bags or tell your friends to do the same.  You're not going to do that if you have a crappy experience.

So if you don't like the product, because, like we have discussed, pictures on the internet can only tell you so much, you can return it to me for either an exchange or a refund.

To protect myself and you, I take pictures of ALL paid and ready to be shipped product before I send them to the buyer.  I take pics on how it was packaged, what the package contained and the shipping documents.

There is such a thing as scam buyers!  They order, let's say, an awesome LV Mahina, and then try to return another factory's cheaply made, ripped LV Mahina, and tell me that is what I sent them.  You can see where this gets messy.  At the end of the day, sending the "scam" customer the picture set that I took before the package went out usually solves the issues.

If you are thinking of reselling bags through me or anyone else for that matter, do the same thing.  You will save yourself a lot of headaches and costs.

Alright people, that's the lesson on photos.  They may not always be what they seem on the internet.

Let's look at something other than Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbags.   I just got this bag into my own inventory.  It's the Miu Miu Vitello.  This is a very well replicated handbag.  It's super soft and the leather is worth the price of the handbag alone.  The bag is $260.00USD and includes shipping to MOST countries.  If you like in a country like the Republic of Togo, shipping will be extra.  Just write me and I'll let you know.

Once I get some time to shower and feed my kids, I will take some pictures of the inside of the bag and add them to the library of pictures.  For now, enjoy the factory's pictures!

I have in black.

I have it in dark brown.

And I have it in the light brown.  A very popular colour for 2009.

Exotic Skins

So remember when I started this blog, I said I travelled to a Asia and found this factory that sold the awesome replicas that I make available to you today?

Well, I learned something very valuable that day. I am not a big fan of exotic skins like crocodile or snake.  I have mixed feelings about an animal like that being killed for a handbag.  Please before you get all PETA on my ass, I'm aware that this is a heated topic and trust me, there is no right or wrong, yes or no, or definitive argument that finalizes anything for either side.  Let's remove those feelings and discuss something beyond the killing of animals and the decadent behaviour of humans, shall we?

Going back to the original story, my first impulse was to buy a crocodile skin bag.  I mean little ole me owning something crocodile.  Wow.  Aside from being ashamed that a crocodile was going to die for me, I was also excited to own crocodile skin.  I shamefully admit it.  I see it as a status.  I also admit I'm human and not all my decisions are wise ones.

Okay, back on topic.

So I was ready to grab a crocodile skin bag and an ostrich skin bag and a...when the person who owned the factory looked at me like I was the most inexperienced shopper.  I was indignant.  I like this bag, I proclaimed!  I've always wanted something this nice.  I want crocodile skin!

She pulled me aside and said, lady, the bag is $350USD, it's not real crocodile skin.  It's super nice calf leather embossed to look like crocodile skin.  A little miffed that I had been fooled, I protested to her that no one will be able to tell the difference!

Man, was I wrong.  Here's a tip, handbags made with real crocodile skin will actually have a peel-ly feel to it.  Like it will come apart.  It doesn't and you shouldn't sit there and pick at it!

Embossed leather will only have the bumps and grooves but will for the most part feel smooth.  Exotic skins rarely feel smooth.

What's the point of this?

Well, say you were to buy a replica crocodile skin Hermes Birkin.  An awesome handbag that still makes me salivate on a good day.  Just know that you're not getting crocodile skin. And anyone that you meet with a good eye for leather is gonna know that you are carrying a fake.

Most of my friends would know I'm carrying a fake Hermes simply because I don't have $55,000USD to buy one.  It doesn't need to be Hermes.  A lot of other designers use crocodile skin or ostrich or snake.  In the replica world, you'll never get this detail copied.  Make sure the website you buy from states it's Mock Croc or embossed croc.

Having said that,

OMG!  I still love this bag.  I have it in black.

 I have it in brown.

It is the most expensive bag in the world.  It is also the most expensive handbag I carry.  Even the replica, with all the quality details and high end leather goes for $350.00USD.  I have both in stock.  Let me know if you have any questions!
